Question 1

Is the class really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The live iPhone class is completely free. There is nothing to pay and no payment information is required to register.

Question 2

Is it a live class or a prerecorded video?

Accepted Answer

It is a real live class taught by Elan Mauer. You can hear the lesson as it happens and ask your questions during the session, unlike a prerecorded webinar.

Question 3

Where does the class take place?

Accepted Answer

The class is held online on Zoom. You can join from home on your iPhone, iPad or computer, so there is nowhere to drive and nothing to set up in advance.

Question 4

When is the next class?

Accepted Answer

Next class date coming soon. Register now and we will email you the date and time. Class times are given in Los Angeles time (Pacific).

Question 5

What happens after I register?

Accepted Answer

You will receive a confirmation email from us. When the next class is scheduled, we email you the date, the time and the link to join. You simply tap the link when the class begins.

Question 6

Are the classes recorded?

Accepted Answer

The class is taught live and attending live is the best way to ask your own questions. When a recording is available, we share it by email with everyone who registered for that class.

Question 7

Do I have to turn my camera on or speak?

Accepted Answer

No. You are welcome to keep your camera off and simply listen. You can type your questions instead of speaking if that is more comfortable.

Question 8

Who is the class for?

Accepted Answer

Adults who want to feel more confident with their iPhone. Complete beginners are very welcome. We move at a calm pace, explain every step in plain language and never assume you already know the terms.

Question 9

What will I learn?

Accepted Answer

Everyday practical use: settings, messages, photos, apps, storage, iCloud, and how to recognize suspicious messages, calls and modern online scams so you can stay safer.

Question 10

Do I need a new iPhone?

Accepted Answer

No. Any iPhone that is still receiving updates and can run apps will work. What matters is that your phone turns on, connects to the internet and lets you open apps.

Question 11

Do I need to know how to use Zoom?

Accepted Answer

No. Your email includes a link that opens the class for you. If you have never used Zoom, tap the link a few minutes early and follow the prompts on your screen.

Question 12

Do you teach Android phones too?

Accepted Answer

The free live class is focused on the iPhone. Organizations that book a program with us can request sessions covering the devices their members actually carry.

Question 13

How do I contact you if I have another question?

Accepted Answer

Email us at info@agelesstechacademy.com and we will get back to you.

Question 14

Do you teach groups and organizations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Alongside the free public class, we run technology programs for senior living and residential communities, libraries, HOAs, faith communities, clubs, community centers, nonprofits and companies.

Question 15

Are organization programs in person or online?

Accepted Answer

Both. We teach in person across greater Los Angeles, online by arrangement for groups anywhere, and in other areas by request, subject to availability and travel.

Question 16

What does a program include?

Accepted Answer

Sessions are tailored to your group's level and needs, with large-print handouts for every attendee and time set aside for questions and hands-on help.

Question 17

How does an organization book us?

Accepted Answer

Send us your organization's details and preferred format through the booking form and we will follow up. All bookings are subject to availability and approval.

Question 18

How much does a program cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on the format, group size and length of the program, so every organization receives a custom quote. Share your details and we will put one together.
